Not sure what to ask for?
A few ways to tell your barber what you want.
- How high
- For a fade, say where the short part should stop: low near the ears, mid at the temple or high up near the top of the head.
- How short on top
- Hold up your fingers to show how much length to leave, or say you want it close.
- The line
- Want a crisp shape up at the hairline, or a softer, natural edge? Say which.
- A photo
- The easiest way of all. Show your barber a picture of the cut you want.
